Boca do Inferno

Boca do Inferno is an iconic natural attraction located in the resort town of Cascais in Portugal. Just outside the city lies a stunning area of clifftops and grottos culminating in ‘Boca do Inferno,’ or ‘Mouth of Hell.’ This dramatic stretch of coastline is characterised by the natural archway at the end, which provides spectacular views of the coastline. Visitors can take a stroll along a clifftop walkway where they can take in the incredible ocean views and landscapes, along with seabirds and local wildlife. Further along the trail, visitors can dive into a network of tunnels and caves, carved out by the sea. The entire area is a hive of activity during the summer months as visitors flock to take in the sights. It is an incredible sight to witness and a must-see when visiting the region.
