Bishago sister rock

Bishago Sister Rock is an awe-inspiring natural formation near Beppu City in Oita, Japan. The three narrow sandstone structures, known as Bishago Sanzan, are column-like structures that protrude from the seafloor, the tallest reaching up to 27 meters in height. The formation has been designated an important cultural asset of Oita Prefecture and is one of the most recognizable and photographed sights in the area. Visitors can take a boat tour and get up close to the formations and surrounding seascape, where there are plenty of birds and marine life to spot. The Bishago Sister Rock area is also a popular spot for camping and beach activities, including swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling.
