Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico

The Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico is one of the most spectacular Gothic churches in all of Italy. Located in the heart of Siena, it stands as one of the city's many treasured monuments. It was built between 1226 and 1265 to house the remains of St. Catherine, Siena's patron saint. Inside, the basilica features an ornate marble facade, sprawling chapels and an impressive network of frescoes and artwork.
