
Villa Contarini, in Piazzola sul Brenta, Italy, is an ornate 18th century villa surrounded by a beautiful park. It was built for the Venetian noble family Contarini, who used it as their summer residence. The grand entrance has statues of sphinxes and caryatids on either side of the staircase. Inside, the villa contains frescoes, ceiling frescoes, statutes, and painted door frames that depict scenes from Roman mythology. There is also an impressive garden that features a maze of hedges, statues, and exedrae. It is a great place to spend a sunny day, and offers a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy nature.
