University of Glasgow

The University of Glasgow is a public research university located in Glasgow City, United Kingdom. It is the second-oldest university in Scotland and one of the four ancient universities of the country. Established in 1451, it is Scotland's second-largest university with more than 28,000 students and 6,000 staff. Well-known for its rich history, the university has a stunning Gothic-style campus, surrounded by incredible Victorian architecture. There are a total of twenty-seven buildings and monuments on campus with architectural styles ranging from Gothic Revival to Romanesque. It is particularly renowned for its Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, Boyd Orr Building, and Chapel. Other notable points of interest include the Gilbert Scott Building, Fraser Building, and Gonville & Caius College, to name a few. Visiting the campus is free and visitors can take guided tours throughout the year.
