Salinas Grandes

Salinas Grandes and Ruta Camino Cangrejillos are two stunning natural attractions in Argentina. Both lie in the province of Jujuy, about five hours north of Salta.

Salinas Grandes is a salt flat with white tabular brown hills, featuring secrets from centuries past such as a lookout tower, three giant, white sacred stones, and a temple. Visitors can also explore arid canyons on foot or from a jeep safari. The nearby Ruta Camino Cangrejillos is a network of canyons with unique gypsum deposits, sand and stone formations, and surreal petrified wood.
