Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana)

Puente de Isabel II (or Puente de Triana) is a bridge in Sevilla, Spain, and is a popular spot for photography. The bridge was built during the 19th century, and got its name from the reigning monarch, Elisabeth II. Spanning a length of 66 meters, it crosses the river Guadalquivir and offers lovely panoramic views of the city, which can be seen from directly above or from a distance. There are two statues standing atop the bridge, that of San Jorge and his dragon, symbolizing the struggles against evil. Other attractions close to the bridge include the Palacio San Telmo, the Real Maestranza and the Royal Tobacco Factory. Puente de Isabel II has also been declared a National Monument, as it reflects the city's cultural wealth.
