Piazza IV Novembre

Piazza IV Novembre is one of Perugia's most famous tourist spots, and it is located near the Old Town. This historic square was built in the 15th century and is a perfect destination to explore the traditional Umbrian culture. It is a pleasantly spacious piazza surrounded by brick buildings, which lends to its rustic and quaint atmosphere. The south facade of the Palazzo dei Priori (the Town Hall of Perugia) stands as the centerpiece of the square with its open loggia and fountain. As you wander Piazza IV Novembre, you can take some time to admire the statues, including a monument to Cardinal Ginnasio and the four bronze lions of the Barberini Fountain, which was crafted by the famous sculptor Antonio Lupi in the late 16th century.
