Mt Tallac, located in South Lake Tahoe, is a popular hiking and nature-spot in the United States. At an elevation of 9,735 ft, it offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountain range. A significant number of trails for hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing are available, as is the Tallac Historic Site with the remains of an old summer resort portraying the early 1900s. You can also take in the summit from the trailhead of Fallen Leaf Lake, or take a boat to admire the lake's beauty. Hiking to Mt Tallac's summit is highly recommended by all who visit here.
