La Giralda

La Giralda and Plaza de San Francisco are two important landmarks located in the city of Sevilla, Spain. La Giralda is the bell tower of the massive Catedral de Sevilla, an impressive Gothic-style cathedral that was commissioned in the 14th century. The tower is a unique combination of Gothic and Islamic architecture and stands over 100 m (328 ft) tall. Just a few blocks away from the La Giralda is the Plaza de San Francisco, a spectacular Plaza featuring the historic Convento de San Francisco, beautiful stone fountains, a garden, and a silhouetted view of La Giralda. The Plaza de San Francisco is a popular place to sit and people watch as it's lined with restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as some beautiful shops and stores.
