Iglesia de San Miguel

The Iglesia de San Miguel is situated in the heart of the old town of Jerez de la Frontera, a city located in the southern part of Spain. This church is known for being one of the oldest Catholic buildings in town, as its construction dates back to the 13th century. It stands out for its Baroque style and its magnificent bell tower, which can be seen from afar. Inside, visitors can admire its large altarpiece, its Mudejar ceiling and its beautiful chapel.

An interesting part of this building is the Granja do Marqueses hall, a pit located on the ground level of the church. It is still a mystery who made it, what it was used for, or why it exists.
