Faro da Porta

Faro da Porta is a lighthouse located in the municipality of Nigrán in Galicia, Spain. It is situated on a hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Rias Baixas coastline of Galicia, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding area. The lighthouse was built in 1872 to warn ships of the dangerous rocky cliffs, waves and currents in the area. The 65-meter light tower is made from limestone blocks, topped with a white domed roof. The lighthouse is open to the public and visitors can climb to the top and take in the stunning views of the local fishing villages, the coastline and the sea beyond. The area is also very popular with walkers and mountain bikers who have plenty of trails in the area to explore.
