The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the Central West End Historic District of St. Louis, Missouri. It is the Mother Church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis and the seat of its Archbishop. The structure is a combination of both Romanesque and neo-Gothic styles, with a façade designed by prominent St. Louis architect George I. Barnett. The basilica has two massive towers that soar 301 feet into the sky, making it one of the tallest, free-standing church buildings in the United States. Inside, the basilica has an impressive, multi-colored mosaic inlay which measures at over eighty-one thousand square feet, making it one of the largest in Christendom. Guided tours of the Basilica are available daily from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
