Catedral de Burgos

Catedral de Burgos is the main cathedral of the Diocese of Burgos in Spain. Its construction dates from the late 13th century, with some alterations dating from the 19th century. This cathedral is composed of three naves, a transept and a presbytery with a Gothic style. It is unique for its Spanish-Flemish exterior as it combines French and Spanish styles. Inside, the Pantheon of the Lords of Burgos is also noteworthy with its 16th century Renaissance mausoleum. Since 1984, it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors should also make sure to see the Chapel of Condestable, which is decorated with beautiful stained-glass windows. Take time to explore the exterior stonework and detail, as well as the intricate sculptures of saints that adorn the spectacular portals of this beautiful cathedral.
