Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse

Located on the western tip of Kangaroo Island, Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse commands the ruggedly beautiful scene of the wild and untamed southern coast of Australia. It was built in 1909 and offers spectacular views over Neptune's Berth, Admiral's Arch and the towering granite outcrops it overlooks. The Lighthouse is also a fantastic spot for wildlife watching; you may glimpse some of the rarest of Australia's sea-life including seals, penguins and occasionally even sea-eagles. Visitors can climb a steep staircase up to the lightkeeper’s quarters for an unforgettable view. Guided walks and tours are available from the South Australian Tourism Commission.
