The New Fondovaya Orangerie (Новая фондовая оранжерея) is a fascinating Russian Baroque style palace located in the Khamovniki District of Moscow. Built in the mid-18th century and initially meant to be a “summer house” for Russian monarchs, it now stands as a symbol of royal patronage and imperial extravagance. Constructed with brick and stone, the palace features an impressive central summer terrace, an ornate façade and delightful gardens. Visitors to the palace can explore the interior chambers, which are filled with antique furnishings and large palace paintings. The terrace offers a sweeping view of the surrounding city, and is home to a beautiful fountain.
