Shree Thillai Natarajar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Chidambaram, India. Built in the 11th century, this temple is rich in architecture and art. It is famous for its intricate, multi-layered design. The temple occupies an area of nearly 40 acres and comprises of several shrines dedicated to various Hindu gods and goddesses. The main shrine is the Sanctum Sanctorum, which is dedicated to Shiva in the form of Nataraja. The temple also features four gopurams, or towers, each of which is beautifully decorated with intricate sculptures. The entire temple complex is a delight to explore, with its many temples, sanctums, and structures. There are also a number of festivals and Poojas throughout the year, which provide a unique experience of Indian culture. The temple is open to all visitors and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Chidambaram.
