Saint Paul de Mausole is a former monastery, situated in the city of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the South of France. It is known for being the place where Vincent Van Gogh spent his last year, where he created some famous masterpieces. Today, the convent hosts a Museum dedicated to his art, with more than 40 original paintings and drawings. Visitors can explore the ruins of the monastery and Van Gogh’s bedroom. The garden, with its olive trees, is also worth visiting. Those who want to miss the crowds may prefer to visit the nearby Chapel of Saint Paul de Mausole, a tranquil sanctuary surrounded by lavender fields.
