Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse - United StateshonedopticsPortsmouth Harbor Lighthouse📍 United StatesPortsmouth Harbor Lighthouse is the last of three lighthouses in New Castle, United States, that are still standing today. It is also the oldest standing structure in the harbor, as it dates back to 1771. This red-brick, conical-shaped tower is located at the harbor mouth. Visitors can marvel at the unique architecture of the lighthouse as well as the historical significance it symbolizes. The lighthouse stands just steps away from Fort Constitution, the site of many Revolutionary War battles and where Rochambeau and his troops landed before marching to Yorktown. Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse is open seasonally and free to visit, giving visitors a chance to learn about the harbor’s rich maritime history while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean. Guests can explore the museum, visit the lighthouse keeper’s living quarters, and enjoy the pristine surroundings. Visitors can also (safely) climb to the top of the 40-foot tower with spectacular views of the harbor below. This is the perfect spot for an afternoon of relaxing and taking in the incredible New England scenery.🗺 HartăAfișați pe hartă🎫 Atractii turisticeVerificați atracțiile turistice din apropiere🏨 PensiuniVerificați hostelurile din apropiere🌦 Informații meteoObțineți informații despre vreme și multe altele din aplicație.
