Pollurin

The Faroe Islands is an archipelago of 18 islands nestled between Iceland and Norway, in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The temperatures are mild in summer, and around freezing in winter. The Islands are known for their stunning natural scenery, which attracts hikers, photographers and other travelers. Rugged cliffs, lush valleys, spectacular fjords, wildflower-strewn meadows, rolling hills, and secluded beaches can be seen across the islands. Sheep and bird watching are popular pastimes. The rocky coastline and clear waters are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and sea angling. The Islands boast many modern attractions such as the Faroese National Museum in Tórshavn, a re-creation of a Viking longhouse, and the public library Kunningarstova.
