Nikoly Temple

Nikoly Temple is a major tourist attraction in Moscow and one of the most remarkable churches of the Russian Orthodox Church. Built during the 17th and 18th centuries, the temple is home to the miraculous Myrh-Bearing Icon. The exceptionally attractive temple is designed in a mosaic of grey, red and white colors, with ornate domes, intricate stucdds and the colors creating a breathtaking sight. Inside, the walls are adorned with colorful frescoes and the gold background, creating a beautiful atmosphere. It also contains sophisticated mosaics, sculptures and paintings of Biblical figures, making it a must-see for visitors. During the summer time visitors can explore the nearby park filled with lush greenery and flowers. Nearby attractions include the Christ Savior Cathedral and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
