Nachi Falls & Seianto-ji Temple

Nachi Falls and Seianto-ji Temple are two of the most remarkable attractions in the city of Nachikatsuura, Japan. The stunning Nachi Falls are located about 10 miles south of Nachikatsuura, and the Seianto-ji Temple is located on the south side of the city. Nachi Falls is the tallest waterfall in Japan and is its longest drop, consisting of three tiers that span a combined total of 133 metres (436 feet) into the valley below. The Seianto-ji Temple is a Shinto shrine that was built in 1525, and is one of the towns' most important spiritual places. The site features a number of religious buildings, as well as an impressive five-story pagoda, koi ponds and lush forested trails. Visitors to this temple can enjoy the serene atmosphere and see some breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
