Malahide Castle is a medieval castle located in the North County of Dublin, Ireland. It has been the home of the Talbot family since 1185 and was one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland. Over the centuries, the castle has hosted many famous Irish writers and artists, as well as political and social figures. Today, visitors can explore the castle's history with audio tours, exhibitions, and interactive events, as well as take in spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The castle grounds also offer a picturesque setting ideal for picnics, with a large walled garden, woodland walks and a 17th century turtle pond. In addition, nearby Malahide Village offers a plethora of pubs, restaurants and shops to explore.
