Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi

Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi - also known as Sameba - is the most important church in Georgia and a stunning architectural spectacle located in the heart of T'bilisi. It was completed in 2004 and is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world. The cathedral has a bright golden dome, surrounded by four smaller golden domes, and it holds an impressive 104-meter bell tower. It is also the seat of the Georgian Orthodox Patriarch and has an important role in Georgian spiritual life. While no photos are allowed inside the cathedral, the outside is worth a visit – its well-maintained garden offers a peaceful atmosphere and lovely views of the city. It is definitely not to be missed when visiting T'bilisi!
