The Fernmeldeturm München, also known as the Munich Telecommunications Tower, is the second tallest building in the city and offers beautiful views of the Munich skyline. Standing at 252.9 metres tall, it is the tallest building in Germany outside of Berlin and fourteenth tallest in Europe.
The München Fernmeldeturm enjoys an interesting modern design which incorporates a complex system of windows and a tower spiral staircase that are accessible to visitors. From the observation deck at the top, you can enjoy sweeping 360 degree views of Munich and its surroundings. The tower also has a restaurant in the lower sphere as well as a cafe and gift shop at ground level. Visitors can reach the Fernmeldeturm Munich via public transport, either by taking the U-Bahn line U6 to Daglfinger Platz or the tram line 25 to Repsoldstraße. The Fernmeldeturm München is open daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the last entrance at 7:50 pm.
