
Chapelle de Champeillant is a beautiful 17th century French chapel in the village of Féternes, in the picturesque Haut-Jura region. Constructed in the traditional Savoyard style, the chapel features a single steeple, whitewashed walls and a tiled roof. The interior of the chapel comprises a large nave, an impressionist-style alter, and a very high stone vaulted roof. From the alter, visitors can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Canton of Féternes, the surrounding Alps and Lake Léman. The chapel is surrounded by pine forests and makes for a great subject for photography - be sure to take advantage of the ample light that streams through the chapel’s clear glass windows during the day.
