Located in the beautiful seaside city of Trani, the Cattedrale Beata Vergine Maria Assunta, also known as the Trani Cathedral, is one of the most impressive and imposing religious buildings in Italy. Built in the Romanesque architectural style between the 12th and 14th century, it stands out for its remarkable interior and exterior, with a cathedral full of marble and frescoes, one of the few Italian cathedrals featuring both ornamental and figurative art. The masonry is based on alternating black, white and yellow stones as well as beautiful precious stones like amethysts, agates and corals.
