Bostalsee is an idyllic lake located in Nohfelden, Germany. With an area of around 110 square kilometres, it is the largest lake in the state of Saarland. Bordering the lake is a wide area of natural beauty, comprised of forests, nature reserves and gardens. One highlight of the area is the Bostal Tower, a 50 metre-tall observation tower, which offers great vistas of the lake and its surroundings. The lake is a great spot for swimming, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and other outdoor activities. The nearby Nohfelder Seehafen boat rentals allow for trips around the lake, as well as further afield to nearby cities such as Saarbrücken and Luxembourg. A nearby campsite also allows for longer stays. There is plenty more to explore in the area, from churches and galleries to stylish cafes and restaurants. Bostalsee is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday.
