Big Lake is one of the most picturesque lakes in Nova Scotia. It’s located east of Halifax overlooking the peaceful Atlantic Ocean. The lake is surrounded by a rocky shoreline and tidepools, and a natural backdrop of pine and fir trees. Kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and fishing are all activities to be enjoyed on the lake. There are also plenty of scenic walking trails for nature lovers. The nearby village of Big Lake is an excellent place to stop for a meal or a few souvenirs.
