Portland Bill Lighthouse

Portland Bill Lighthouse is a lighthouse located in the Isle of Portland, in Dorset, United Kingdom. Having been operational since 1906, it is an active navigational aid and can be seen from miles away warning ships of the rocky coast. The lighthouse is located at the southernmost tip of Portland Bill, a headland that is believed to have been formed over 200 million years ago. A few steps away is a cafe and souvenir shop owned by the National Trust that provides breathtaking views of the castle and sea. The lighthouse itself is not open to visitors, but can be viewed from the nearby headland.
