Jasenovac Memorial, located in the city of Jasenovac in central Croatia, is a site remembering the victims of the brutal WWII death camp. The camp was originally built in 1941 by the Ustaše, a Croatian far-right nationalist and totalitarian movement. It was located in a small village known as the Jasenovac Concentration Camp Complex. When visiting the memorial today, you can explore the museum and learn more about the tragic events that took place here. You can also visit the nearby memorial park and cemetery, where the remains of those who died here are buried. There is also a memorial stone that stands in the centre of the memorial park and serves as a reminder of what happened here. The site has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and serves as a reminder of the Holocaust.
