Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias

Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an incredible cultural and entertainment complex situated along the old riverbed of the Turia in València, Spain. It was designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and opened in 1998. It consists of several buildings including an opera house, an oceanarium, a science museum, a museum of fine arts, a planetarium and an IMAX cinema. The Science Museum offers interactive activities and multimedia shows about science, as well as planetarium shows and IMAX documentaries. The Oceanographic Park is one of the largest in Europe, covering 200,000 m² of space and complete with a variety of marine animals and interactive displays. The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía is an opera and performing arts centre, presenting opera, theatre and various musical performances. The complex is connected via an underground tunnel which is a great way to get around and take in the beauty of its fascinating architecture. This is an incredible place to visit, with something for everyone.
