Alhambra de Granada is a stunning 14th century Moorish castle located North of Granada, Spain. It was originally constructed as a fortress to protect the city from invaders and is now a popular tourist site. The outer wall of the castle is made of stone, while the higher area is enclosed in a terracotta-coloured stucco. Inside the castle is an array of beautiful Moorish architecture, including courtyards and gardens, fountains, towers, and art galleries. A guided tour of the castle is available year round and is highly recommended.
