Situated in picturesque Oaxaca, Mexico, San Agustin Etla is a delightful little town. Meaning "Lying near the river," Agustin reflects the surrounding country life of the farmers and their fields. Local architecture is based off of rustic, red-brick construction with vibrant paint colors, providing an abundance of photo opportunities.

The centerpiece of the town is its Church of San Agustin, which was built during the 17th century. Inside, visitors will find an ornate interior adorned with Spanish Colonial decorations and beautiful frescoes, plus views of Oaxaca's Valley from its bell tower. The day-to-day life of San Agustin Etla can be observed in its streets and plazas, which are home to a variety of small stores, restaurants, and even a zoo. In addition, there are many festivals celebrated around the town, such as the "celebracion del dia del campesino," which is dedicated to celebrating the agricultural contributions of farmers in the area.
