Sur Beach

Sur Beach in Cabo Polonio is a stunningly beautiful beach, located in a remote area of Uruguay’s Rocha province. It is nestled against an ocean bay on the Atlantic Coast, and surrounded by sand carpets, dunes, and rolling hills. With crystal clear waters and low tides, the ocean is great for swimming, snorkeling, and boating. There are several trails that are well-maintained with boardwalks and stairs, allowing visitors to fully explore the cabo’s myriad of hidden nature spots. The beach has a little corner called “la caleta”, a great spot for long walks and bird watching. During summer, the beach has lifeguards, restrooms, restaurants and bars.
