Southwold Pier

Southwold Pier is a Victorian styled pier located on the coastline of Suffolk, United Kingdom. Built in 1900 by Pollard and Co and extended in 1930, the pier currently stands at 365 metres in length. It is the only surviving pier in Suffolk and one of the longest in the UK. It has retained its grandeur and stands as a popular tourist spot. There is an old pier kiosk, a tower with observation deck, restaurants, amusement arcades, bars, and much more. It provides a stunning backdrop to walk along the coastline of North Sea, or take a boat trip and dive deep into the unique wildlife around the pier. A trip to the pier also includes a ferry ride to the nearby Scroby Sands, where the seals overrun the sandbanks. Visitors can also explore the maritime museum on the pier, showcasing Southwold's past, performing arts, and other exhibits.
