Schlegeisspeicher

The Schlegeisspeicher, in the mountain region of Dornauberg, Austria, is an impressive hydroelectric lake created in the early 1960s. It is located at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park and offers panoramic views of the landscape with rugged peaks and glaciers. The lake has its own roads, whereas hiking trails require an ascent of more than 2000 meters, making it an ideal basecamp for mountaineers and hikers.
