Pitt Lake

Pitt Lake is a large lake located in the cities of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge, Canada. It is the second largest lake in the Lower Mainland, and the largest lake in the Greater Vancouver area. The lake is fed by the Pitt River, which is the second longest river in British Columbia, and source of the Fraser River. It is a beautiful lake with a shoreline of almost 90 kilometers and plenty of islands. It provides a great opportunity for boating and fishing, as well as for wildlife watching, with numerous migratory birds, including eagles, geese, ducks and swans, as well as beavers, otters, and numerous species of fish, such as rainbow trout, kokanee, and steelhead. There are lots of beautiful views and plenty of recreation opportunities in this area, such as hiking, kayaking, camping, and cycling.
