Kirkjufell Mountain, located in Grundarfjörður, Iceland, is one of the most beautiful and stunning mountain views you will find in this stunning country. Picturesquely framed by the fjords from the west and north, this rocky peak rises 463 meters high, overcoming all other mountains in the vicinity. This saddle-shaped mountain is popular for its numerous hikes and for being a very picturesque spot for photographers and travelers. Besides being a beautiful structure to view and admire, Kirkjufell also has an interesting local legend. According to the old tales, the mountain was formed from the forward bow of a ship which crashed on the coast nearby.
