Joseph Haydn monument

The Joseph Haydn Monument is located in the 7th district of Vienna, Austria. The Monument was dedicated to the celebrated composer and is situated close to the Austrian National Library. The Monument itself is a bronze sculpture, created by sculptor Max Blond, which stands at the center of a little garden between the Musikschulstrasse and the Seidengasse. It was erected in 1905 and stands near the site of the original burial place of Haydn and some of his family. Around the Monument are benches, greenery, and a Philosophenweg (Philosopher's Walk). This charming setting is a great place to contemplate the life and works of the beloved composer.
