Hallstatt Houses

Hallstatt Houses are some of the oldest dwellings in Austria. This charming town is located in the Salzkammergut region of Upper Austria and is the most photographed town in the country. The picturesque town is lined with quaint houses and cobblestone roads - a delightful place to visit. Take a tour of the Hallstaettersee lake and cruise along the Hallstatt's main street, where you can stroll through the small chapels and shops. On some of the hilltops you can find the remains of a prehistoric salt mine that still provides most of the town's revenue. Although the houses themselves may look small from the outside, the views from the outside will make you speechless.
