Puy de Sancy

Puy de Sancy is a volcano in Chambon-sur-Lac, France. It stands at 1886 metres tall, making it the highest peak of the Massif Central mountain range. From the summit, you can enjoy incredible panoramas of the surrounding area, including the Monts Dore and the Chaîne des Puys volcano chain. Once at the top of the mountain, you will find an open-air chapel devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Puy de Sancy is an ideal spot for hikers and nature admirers alike. There are a lot of uphill and downhill trails to explore, some of which pass by some old farms and a unique countryside scenery. Visitors can also take part in supervised activities such as mountain biking, ski touring or rafting. There is something for everyone!
