Ducal Palace of Gandia

The Ducal Palace of Gandia, located in the city of Gandia in the Valencian Community of Spain, is an impressive Renaissance building and one of the most important landmarks in the region. It was built between the 15th and 16th centuries for the Dukes of Gandia and stands near the old walled city. Inside, a grand courtyard is surrounded by imposing arches and galleries. One of the most important features of the building is its impressive library, one of the most significant in Spain due to its large collection of ancient books and manuscripts. Visitors can also observe an interesting array of murals and paneling. Today, the Palace is home to the University of Gandia and is open to visitors on a regular basis.
