Cape Disappointment Lighthouse

Located in Fort Canby State Park, Cape Disappointment Lighthouse is a charming landmark which has been guiding seafarers and visitors to the Columbia River since the 1800s. With a unique Fog Signalling Building, the historic Visitor Center, a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean, and museum exhibits and interpretive displays, it is a must-see destination. Climb the 174 steps to the top of the tower to take in a stunning view of the coastline and the Columbia River. Guests can take part in interpretive programs and explore the surrounding area with a variety of seasonal activities, including shark tooth hunting and beachcombing. Visitors can also take part in the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial celebration and learn about their journey to the Northwest.
