Baldwin steps

The Baldwin Steps are one of Toronto's most iconic sets of stairs connecting Bloor Street and the upper level of the University of Toronto's campus. The stairs were constructed in 1896 and are named in honor of Robert Baldwin, one of the city's first mayors. The steps offer a unique vantage point from which to take in the stunning architecture and vistas of the campus and the downtown Toronto skyline. There are two sets of steps, one facing north and one facing south, both offering grand views of their respective directions. A great place to find some peace and quiet, the Baldwin Steps offer a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto.
