Stelvio Pass

The Stelvio Pass is an iconic Italian pass located at 2757m above sea level in the Italian Alps. It is among Europe's most photogenic roads, with 48 numbered switchbacks along the way and incredible views of the Dolomites. This 12.4 km stretch of road twists and turns through the mountains, offering amazing encounters with nature. There is an abundance of water in the summit area, from the lakes, streams and waterfall at the top. One of the main attractions of the Pass is the majestic ski resort at the summit, where you can easily marvel at panoramic views of the snow-covered Alps. The ski resort is a fun day out for skiers and snowboarders, featuring numerous trails for all levels of skill. As you descend the pass, there are charming villages along the road like Prato allo Stelvio and Trafoi with the Fortezza Fortress and Trafoi Alpine Museum. Hikers and cyclists would also enjoy the numerous trails and flatter roads in the area.
