Popeye Village

Popeye Village is a collection of rustic and quirky wooden buildings located in Il-Mellieħa, Malta. The area first appeared in the 1980 musical film 'Popeye' and has since been turned into an attraction, sometimes referred to as 'Sweethaven Village.' Visitors can explore the film set and even take a boat ride in and around the village. There are several shows and activities, including historical re-enactments presenting life in Malta prior to the arrival of World War II. Other activities include a bouncy castle, a play area for kids, and a mini-water park. There's also a souvenir shop and a restaurant on site. Visitors can also enjoy beautiful views over Anchor Bay, accessible through a short hike across the fields. Visitors should bring their own picnic lunch and swimwear if they're looking to make a day of it.
