Peace Statue

The Peace Statue in Nagasaki, Japan, is a memorial built in 1955 to commemorate the anniversary of the atomic bombings of the city during World War II. It is a 6m tall bronze statue of a girl situated in a park, symbolizing the desire for world peace. The statue is accessible to the public and visitors can pose alongside it for a photograph. Other memorials to World War II are located around the statue and make for a great place to capture images of a more sombre nature.
