Monte Sant'Angelo Castle

Monte Sant'Angelo Castle is located in the Apulia region of Monte Sant'Angelo, Italy. It is a 13th century fortification located atop an ancient sacred site – the impressive sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel. Built by Frederick II Hohenstaufen, it stands 148 meters high and has witnessed many battles over the centuries. It is an impressive sight, with walls, ramparts, and bastions perfectly preserved. The castle can be explored on a guided tour, where you will be exposed to a unique example of Medieval architecture. You will also have an opportunity to learn about the cultural, historical and architectural heritage associated with it.
