Lago Futalaufquen

Lago Futalaufquen is a stunningly beautiful glacial lake located in San Martin de los Andes, Argentina. Located at the northern end of the Chubut River Valley, the lake lies within the boundaries of Nahuel Huapi National Park, a protected area which is home to picturesque landscapes, flora, and fauna including pumas, condors, rheas and ñandus. The lake is surrounded by a wide range of natural attractions, including the Andes Mountains, forests, and islands. Boating and fishing are popular activities on the lake and nearby rivers. Canoeing is also an excellent way to explore the lake’s waters and catch a glimpse of its abundant wildlife. From the lake, you can see the Cerro Chapelco peak to the east, and the outline of the Lanin volcano to the west. Additionally, you can find trails running along the lake’s coasts, offering hikers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
